Is there a free defensive driving course online?

There are no free defensive driving courses accepted by Georgia municipal courts or Georgia DDS. The standard $95 fee is set by DDS to ensure fairness and consistency statewide.

Driver Improvement vs Defensive Driving. What’s the difference?

Defensive Driving refers to the official legal term Driver Improvement Program or Clinic and Defensive Driving is used interchangeably for the same course.

Can you take the class remotely in GA?

You may only qualify if class is done live with a State Certified Instructor. Any self-paced course you may see advertised online is not a Georgia DDS Licensed Clinic. Only DDS-certified driving schools are approved.

Will a defensive driving course lower insurance?

Yes. in many cases, insurance companies are required under O.C.G.A. §33-9-42 to provide a premium discount to eligible individuals who complete a Georgia DDS certified (6 hour) Defensive Driving Course. However, it’s important to check with your insurance provider first, as we cannot guaranteed and may it vary. In most cases, the minimum discount is set at 10%, though some insurers may or may not choose to offer a higher discount depending on their policies.

How long is the course?

You have two options:

The first is a 6-hour course split over two days, with 3 hours of instruction each day.
The second option is a one-day, 6-hour course.

How do I enroll in driving lessons?

Our school has developed an online enrollment system that has an easy-to-use interface that you (or we) can assist you with.

Can I reschedule my driving lessons?

How does payment work?

You’ll need to book first and schedule a online class then you’ll be prompted to put in your card information and process a $95 fee.

Can I receive a receipt for my lesson fees?

Definitely! Feel free to get in touch with our team. All you need to do is provide them with your purchase ID.
